Mindy McCready

Back in the 70's I and my friends listened to what is now referred to as "classic" rock, and in college I was a devotee of Progressive Rock, but by the 80's I kinda fell out of touch with the so-called "new wave" and all the one hit wonders (except, I hate to admit, for the Go Gos). Then, for whatever reason, in the early 90's, I started getting into country music, watching videos on GAC and CMT, and among the upcoming young singers was a country cutie named Mindy McCready. I enjoyed her spirited music and never saw beyond the persona. Sleep well in that Grand Ole Opry in the sky.
