Violent Cities Have One Thing In Common

I found one thing very interesting about this somewhat uninteresting statistic (unless you happen to live there). The FBI released its "Ten Most Violent Cities in America" list for 2013. The "winners" were:

Camden, NJ
Flint, MI
Detroit, MI
Oakland, CA
St. Louis, MO
Cleveland, OH
Gary, IN
Newark, NJ
Bridgeport, CT
Birmingham, AL

The one thing they all have in common -- all their mayors are Democrats. And although they didn't make the list, three other cities known for violent crime - New York, NY, Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA - also have Democratic mayors.

All I'm saying is that I found it interesting. Very.
