A Fly

A very small creature am I, am I
A very small creature am I, a fly
I just fly around, I don't mean to bother
But it's quite a life dodging fly swatters
They call me a bug, they call me a pest
When I land on their noses to take me a rest
I don't eat a lot or take up much room
Yet as soon as they see me, they seal my doom
I just want to be social, to say 'Hi' is all
As I check out the world from my place on the wall
So I fly past their eyes and blow in their ears
And their violent rejection fills me with tears
Yes, a very small creature am I, am I
In the eyes of the world I am only a fly
