Saw the new Star Trek movie yesterday--a hoot and a holler! We love Benedict Cumberbatch (have you seen him on PBS as Sherlock Holmes?). So many great references to the original series for us older Trekkers (not "Trekkies"!). Also, for Mother's Day I got my wife a set of three pairs of socks from the Star Trek Shop, and yes, they came in three colors: gold for command, blue for science, and red for engineering. We did wear them to the theater, but they wouldn't give us a discount. I've started wearing my 3D glasses all the time now, and as I've long suspected, the world is out of focus.
